So I just got a brand new 80 gig iPod and I’m going thru loading songs on it. I noticed it alphabetizes everything using the ID3 tags. This is an issue for me because most of my stuff has messed up tags. Luckily iTunes has a way to edit these tags. Also, I’m just curious how everyone else alphabetizes their cd’s. As you can see from the photo, I have a lot of discs. Mine are all alpha by artist. I’ve toyed with putting the John Lennon’s in with the Beatles and the Roger Waters in with the Pink Floyd, but I quickly became confused. What about the Lou Barlow, Folk Implosion, Sebadoh stuff…where would that go? Don’t even get me started on what to do with Mike Patton stuff. My only solution was to do alpha by artist. Seems the only way to keep things organized. What do you all think?
